Day 11 - a Year by the Sea

leo.jpg
This is religion at work. In a previous life, Leo was a holy person and with grace and compassion, he helped others. He devoted himself to service and when he died, he was rewarded. He came back as a fat (22 pounds) house cat who is loved and loves in return. Actually he is a pain because he is so needy that he never stops except when occupied with the main work of the day, sleep. This cat actually purrs when the vet takes his temperature with a rectal thermometer. He must have been a saint because he’s got it so good.

Day 10 - a Year by the Sea

Yep, that’s the kitchen window. From the bottom up. Messy urban street with a machine shop and the Blue Line train tracks crowned with a large transformer hanging off a pole and a cheesy bar across the way. Then comes Belle Isle Marsh with its phragmites stands, foxtails waving in the wind. Birds, muskrats and coyotes wander across its length and breadth. Beyond are two drumlins, hills left by the glacier, which frame the Atlantic Ocean, cold, blue and beautiful. Of course, it is all topped by a sky so big that nothing in Montana can match. That’s what I see every day at home and is humbling to see such magnificence.

Ciao!
