Day 19 - a Year by the Sea

In the midst of my dormant garden, there is this triumph. Plant fights cold by blooming. I’ve not seen this plant ever do this before. Of course, with all the strangely warm weather, I shouldn’t be surprised but I am. This is a time for muted colors, pale straw, weathered yellows and blanched grays. Dark wet leaf browns and cold dirt blacks but not this lilac color burst. Plant fights cold and wins.

Ciao!
