Day 34 - a Year by the Sea

Excellent adventure today! This is a birch strand in the middle of the marsh. You have to walk through the reeds to get there. With a cold clear winter sky behind, the birches and reeds are gorgeous. These aren’t the eye bursting colors of Sedona Canyon or the jungle on a Pacific Island. This is winter telling you that the marsh offers a lot to see. In any case, I pressed on and found a boat, a lifeguard stand guarding a frozen pool and a viewing tower that I never knew existed. All this with only the wind as my companion. It’s been a while since I explored the marsh like this and I was giddy with the sheer fun of it all.
