Day 41 - a Year by the Sea

This was taken at 10 in the morning off the south end of Deer Island. The sky was overcast but there was that band of pink gold and the shimmer. It wasn’t moonlight but morning light. Of course, there is usually glare off the surface when the sun is full and the angle is right. That’s what sunglasses are for. Today, the sun was veiled by cloud cover (admittedly thin) and the result was unusual. The shimmer was eye catching and it brought a smile to my face.
