Day 44 - a Year by the Sea

beachmacrame.jpg

Beach macrame. It’s actually awesome. There’s all kinds of texture with the rope, rocks, lobster trap bits and sand. It’s all worn from being exposed to the elements and the UV. When you’ve seen the usual stuff in museums, this is a real delight to your eye. Part man made fiber and metal, part sand and rock, it’s my kind of modern art. Most of the beaches around here have similar balled up displays. This is down on the south end of Deer Island. There’s a big storm coming tomorrow. I can hardly wait to get down to the beaches to see what’s washed up.

Ciao!
