Day 49 - a Year by the Sea

I intended this to be a dawn shot of the sun rising over the ocean but the muffler decided to drop off and drag down the street behind me. So, I went exploring closer to home. The marsh has lots of little weird meandering creeks. This one lies next to Suffolk Downs (yes indeed, horses) and has been subject to years of dumping and litter. Sometimes known as Little Sludge Creek (as opposed to Big Sludge Creek better known as Chelsea Creek), it does have a pleasant face when clothed with snow and ice mirroring the rising sun. Unexpected beauty in a cold neglected place. It’s the best kind of urban blues, gritty, rough and straight to the heart.
