Day 75 - a Year by the Sea

This is a real Nor’easter. Our house on its long axis runs north/south and parallel to two of Logan’s runways. That means that the east side gets great views of the sunrise, terrific views of rainbows when a summer thunderstorm blows out to sea and this. This is horizontal snow in a 35-50 mph wind. We get shoved by the gusts so that the house shudders and shakes. There’s all kinds of noise and the water in the bowl slops around in mini-tsunami waves. The old house really gets to moving in storms like this. Sleeping at night is being rocked by Mother Nature with a vengeance. My mother in law used to make pizza on a day like this and we’d all eat to excess while watching the idiots driving by. That was the best pizza ever made. I wish Rose were still here.

Ciao!
