Day 76 - a Year by the Sea
March 17, 2007 by OrientSee.
Bent screw. This behemoth is a sculpture not a discard from a machine shop. It is nearly ten feet long from the hexagonal head to the bent tip lying beneath the snow. My son is a sculptor and his artifacts litter our yard and basement. The giant has left his toys behind. Yesterday’s storm covered us with snow and then rain on top. The resulting soup of water and snow weighs everything down. I have a chest cold so I’m doubly down. I haven’t been out to see the marsh or the beaches. I wanted to comb the debris but not today. At least, the snow cover will be gone soon. It never lasts for long at this time of year.
Ciao!
