Day 77 - a Year by the Sea

Another pool shot. The water is 2-3 inches deep and the pool is on a path bordered by phragmites reeds. There is so much calm and in the middle is a rust colored leaf blown off by a winter wind. I enjoy these almost formal scenes and the irony that barely 100 feet away one 747 after another passes by. I wonder if there is any sense of this irony in Japan where urban life in one of its most bewildering jungles lies next to Shinto and Buddhist shrines.
