Day 96 - a Year by the Sea

blackducks.jpg

I couldn’t avoid this pair of black ducks and so I just got closer until they took wing. I kept snapping shots and then boom, they were aloft. We’ve had a very cold Canadian air mass over us for a few days now. So I noticed that redwing blackbirds’ noisy concert was gone. It was way too quiet out in the marsh. I’ll try to notice if they resume their noise when it get’s warmer. The best part of the day was to see the Kestrel again. It was hovering over the park hunting. It settled in a tree by the outlook but it wouldn’t let me get close. So no good Kestrel pictures yet. Yet every day has given me a gift of something to see and that is a hell of a gift. I’m very grateful.

Ciao!
