Day 123 - a Year by the Sea

This great blue heron was working Rosie’s Pond for food. Nearby a snowy egret was doing the same but the styles were completely different. The blue scarcely moved at all. It would hold a pose for minutes before moving or making a strike with that long bill. The snowy jumped all over. It was acting like it was on speed. Dart there, leap here, jump over there. The size difference emphasized this all the more. The blue was a Great Dane to the snowy’s Yorkshire Terrier. It was fun to watch the two nearly side by side.
