Day 125 - a Year by the Sea

Pennies and leaves. On my way out to MarshHenge, I saw these leaves and pennies came into my mind. Bright as a new penny. They are newly unraveled and are shiny in the light. It was the shiny surface that caught my eye. You can’t spend these but they are worth more than many pennies. Today I saw a Kingfisher for the first time this year. They are a boldly blue bird with a mohawk do and a white belt. I’ve not seen one fishing but apparently they dive out of the sky into the water for fish. Another first today was a bobolink, a black bird with a cream colored ruff on the back of its neck and black and white wing feathers. He’s just up from Argentina and it wasn’t on a 747. It’s been a geography day today.

Ciao!
