Day 165 - a Year by the Sea

SlimeFoot!?!? I found two of these today at the edge of the marsh. It must be the great SlimeFoot Monster of East Boston. Actually I have no idea what this is. We have had some slightly higher than usual astronomical high tides so that is probably where the slime came from. It doesn’t appear to have any masses included in it so I doubt that it is an egg sac or sacs.  I just haven’t a clue what it is. Any ideas?
