Day 169 - a Year by the Sea

goldenrod.jpg

A magnificent day. Deer Island beckoned and we walked. It was sort of a wild flower tour. There were all kinds of blooms to enjoy. There are large stretches of meadow that are going wild and thus lots of flowers. There were actually poppies in bloom which certainly are not natural to New England. I do enjoy the irony of all this beauty surrounding the largest wastewater facility in this part of the country. The walk around Deer Island is well worth the trip out to the end of Winthrop. I had a golden day there.

Ciao!
