Day 185 - a Year by the Sea
July 4, 2007 by OrientSee.
Roadside Fireworks. This display of pyrotechnical art occurs right by the roadside on Bennington St., a fairly busy road and boundary of the marsh. Suitable for the Fourth of July but without the noise. You don’t even have to wait for sundown. This is a stretch of road that in January is desolate except for dead reeds and snow banks. I can only imagine that some one decided to dump some garden waste by the side of the road that included these bulbs. I don’t believe that they propagate by seed. In any case, serendipity strikes and orangeness explodes.
Ciao!
