Day 192 - a Year by the Sea

beachparking.jpg

The fog rolls in and the beach gets empty. The parking lot gets emptier still. A lazy day ensues at the town beach. It’s summer but it looks a little like November. I have memories of Newport which involve just this sort of foggy summer day and orange sherbet. San Francisco can look like this but this is in Maine today. The gulls were waddling along the beach and tolerated the few bipedal creatures who were out walking. It was a good day to walk and talk. Fog makes for a different kind of day and a different sort of subtler pleasure.

Ciao!
