Day 219 - a Year by the Sea

This is one angry Osprey. I was standing by the tree line on the edge of the marsh by Palermo St. I was easily 400 yards away from the nest when this Osprey left the nest, cruised over and deliberately buzzed me twice. I know better than to get close to a nest and I was a very long distance from the chick. Yet, somehow I had to be warned off. Back off two legs! I got the message loud and clear. I would never want to test these birds but what would happen if you wandered upon them closer? Considering the talons that these fishing birds have, the results would not be pretty. I guess that we have to give up this part of the marsh for a while.
