Day 227 - a Year by the Sea

grassmohawk.jpg

Grass mohawks. This is the most interesting texture in the marsh. It’s not just a matter of color although in the winter these same tufts look well done in gold. Flat to spiky is very different. It also has the feel of tidal origin, of powerful currents swirling the grass into patterns.  The tide does reach this high in storms and during astronomical full tides. It could just be the wind. Whatever the reason, these sensual curves can touch you.  It’s a subtle stimulation and very enjoyable.

Ciao!
