Day 255 - a Year by the Sea

The marsh is looking like Cape Cod in October. It’s still warm and there are a few visitors left but the crowds are gone. On my walk today it seemed a little empty. The egrets and the ospreys are still around but not much else. Then I realized what I was seeing was monarchs everywhere. They don’t have quite the same visual impact as a Baltimore Oriole but these butterflys are stunning. Last year this time, we had a major influx of them and perhaps, we’ll be lucky enough to seem the same crowds again.

Ciao!
