Day 259 - a Year by the Sea

With nary a red orange maple leaf in sight, this is autumn, Belle Isle Marsh style. The snowy egrets are all huddled together. All that was needed was a post office mail box to complete the picture of a bunch of the neighborhood kids hanging out on the corner. The marsh grass is changing colors quickly now and with the contrast of the white egrets, it is a sight worthy of tour bus. The bright afternoon sun illuminated the grass well. This was after witnessing an osprey stooping to dive into the water that raised a spume of water easily six or eight feet tall. Unfortunately it was too far away to get a good picture. Finally a middle school track team began using the park as a course and the squealing adolescent girls filled the park with their noise. It was time for me to leave.
