Day 260 - a Year by the Sea

It’s not often that a bird especially a small bird allows me to come very close. This guy was perched on a crabapple and simply watched me walk up to the tree. He was in no rush to go any place. I felt like I had a new friend. It’s not like having a cat asleep in your lap or a dog beside you on the couch. Sometimes it is as though you are communicating. It’s a little eerie. A bird like this should be afraid of me and my kind but sometimes they’re not. In any case it was a moment to enjoy on a bright beautiful day.
