Day 306 - a Year by the Sea

fiddler.jpg

Here he is the last fiddler. A reasonably big nor’easter is blowing in tonight and tomorrow. We’ll get some strong winds and a lot of rain. The trees will get stripped of whatever leaves remain and some will get toppled. Out in the thickets where there are lots of dead trees, it will be interesting to see what happens. There are still insects active because we’ve yet to have a freeze but in the wake of this storm, the weather patterns will change and it is likely the temperatures will be dropping. It has been a nice day, lots of sun, chickadees and Great Blue Herons. I might get over to the sea wall tomorrow to watch for any good stuff blown up on Short Beach. This grasshopper will soon be flash frozen food for some bird but he is a handsome looking dude.

Ciao!
