Day 307 - a Year by the Sea
November 3, 2007 by OrientSee.
A chickadee. Not a stranger at all but more of a cold weather visitor rather than a kid from the neighborhood. The thickets have been quiet lately with the warblers mostly gone but this bird made all kinds of noise and could not be ignored. Of course, the real story is the storm that is actually going on right now that has kept us all shut in today. It has not been all that bad but it is windy, wet and cold, which is the bad news trio for being outside. So it has been a sort of hibernation day that was brightened immeasurably by our granddaughter Zoe. She let us forget the nasties outside. Grandkids are the best cure for bad weather.
Ciao!
