Day 312 - a Year by the Sea

In the shade of a tree lay this reminder of last night, frost. The northwest wind brought the cold to us and it was easy to tell in the thicket. Even after the morning sun reached down and warmed things up, the insects were silent. The big change has come. The next few months will be about resting from the summer’s frenzy of growth and reproduction. It’s time to meditate. March will be here very soon.
