Day 313 - a Year by the Sea
November 9, 2007 by OrientSee.
Straddling - Barack or Hilary? This sparrow came close to the overlook and really couldn’t make his mind up. Handsome looking guy. The thicket was full of starlings and robins this afternoon so there was lots of noise. I actually saw a bumblebee which was a big surprise with the recent cold and frost. A pair of hawks was watching over everything but they wouldn’t let me come within a few hundred yards and so I couldn’t identify them. Another storm is coming or not. It may just brush us by. The cold has come and so has the storm season. We’ve buttoned up our storm windows for the winter and it’s like being in a hermetically sealed environment. It saves us heating money but the third set of panes really locks us inside. Getting outside becomes even more of joy.
Ciao!
