Day 314 - a Year by the Sea

Nice jeans. Designer clothes at bargain bin prices. This hawk was settling in for a landing on a dead tree. He looked to be wearing furry pants. I spent the morning on my ecology project. I started to clean up the thicket. There were a amazing number of empty beer cases. The bottles and cans get scavenged by some one who cashes them in but no one wants the cardboard boxes. Then there were lots of styrofoam food containers. All in all, I only made a start on the mess. There’s years of discarded building materials and rusty auto parts. It looks better for now. Part of the problem is that outside in the thicket is the only place where some people can hang out and drink without paying bar prices. I just wish that they would take the trash with them. Maybe barrels that got emptied every week would work?
