Day 315 - a Year by the Sea

This morning’s delight, a male Kestrel. This kestrel was perched in a small tree right next to a field filled with the morning crop of dogs and dog-owners. The males are brightly colored and a real joy to see. They can hover in the wind waiting to drop on prey and I used to see them hanging over 1A on the far side of my drumlin hunting the hillside. The morning was quite cold and it seemed that most everything was waiting to have a late brunch this bright Sunday morning. It was great just to be out walking.
