Day 322 - a Year by the Sea
November 18, 2007 by OrientSee.
As the seasons and the year are running down (we may have some snow flurries tomorrow), the bright colors are going away as well. I was surprised by this last bit of flowering plant life. It was out in the flat part of the reeds and probably protected from the recent frosts. It is not going to last much longer but that is fine. Winter is often maligned by people who don’t like cold weather but the same people probably enjoy a full night’s sleep. That’s all winter is, a rest. It is also full of muted colors which I enjoy along with lots of dark storm clouds. Needless to say, I am a bit of a depressive but one who enjoys it like a warm pair of socks. If you don’t fight the cold but just settle into it, it’s a quiet place to enjoy.
Ciao!
