February 11
February 11, 2008 by OrientSee.
The big blue tent is spread wide and far but the tent flaps are blowing in the breeze. The sky is very blue and very full of very cold wind. It’s not a day to be out unless you are well dressed for it. Needless to say there is not much about except for this little guy huddled up in a cedar tree by the entrance to the park. I am always amazed by the small birds. Their body temperatures are higher than ours. Their metabolisms run fast to our medium slow and yet they must find food every day to replace the calories that are used to stay warm. It makes me think of potatoes and pasta. They are tough birds indeed.
Ciao!
