Today was great. Two Killdeer were at Rosie’s Pond. I watched four crows mob the local Redtail Hawk. Best of all, I got to see and photograph this Long Eared Owl. I was walking out through the thicket and something flew out of a bush very low to the ground. I thought that it might be an owl but I didn’t get much of a look. I walked around the corner along a wet icy stretch and then in the sumac thicket, I found this owl and it stayed long enough to get this picture. It was a terrific sight.
